These terms govern your use of InboxVue, the website at inboxvue.com and its email viewing and conversion features (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. Who we are
InboxVue is an independent software product operated from Morocco ("InboxVue", "we", "us"). You can reach us at hello@inboxvue.com. More about us is on the about page.
2. The Service
InboxVue lets you open, read, search and export email files such as EML, EMLX, MSG, MBOX and winmail.dat in your web browser. Files are processed on your device and are not uploaded to us; see how it works and our privacy policy. Some features are free. Others require InboxVue Pro, as described on the pricing page.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country if higher, to buy InboxVue Pro. InboxVue Pro is linked to an email address. You're responsible for keeping access to that email address secure, because sign-in links are sent to it. InboxVue Pro is for use by one person, on any number of devices. You can use the Service for personal and commercial purposes.
4. Purchases and payment
InboxVue Pro is sold by Polar Software, Inc. ("Polar"), which acts as merchant of record and reseller. When you buy, you also agree to Polar's terms for the purchase, and Polar is responsible for the payment, invoice, VAT and sales tax. Prices are shown in US dollars; tax is added where required.
InboxVue Pro is the only paid plan. It unlocks every paid feature and is available in three billing options:
- Monthly ($6.99 a month) and Yearly ($29.99 a year): subscriptions that renew automatically at the end of each month or year, at the price then in effect, and charge the payment method on file until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in the billing portal linked from your account page. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep InboxVue Pro until the end of the period you've already paid for, and we don't refund the remaining part of that period except as set out in our refund policy. If a renewal payment fails, Polar will retry it; access may be paused if payment isn't completed within 7 days. We'll tell you about any price change at least 30 days before the renewal it affects, so you can cancel first.
- Lifetime ($99 once): a one-time payment giving access to InboxVue Pro for as long as InboxVue offers the Service (see section 10). It doesn't renew.
You can switch from Monthly to Yearly from your account page while your subscription is active and not set to end. Polar charges the prorated difference at the time of the switch; your billing date may stay the same, and the next renewal date is shown on your account page after the switch. Switching from Yearly to Monthly isn't available; cancel instead, and start a monthly plan after your yearly period ends. If you buy Lifetime while subscribed, your subscription stops renewing at the end of its current period.
5. Refunds
You can get a refund within 14 days of your first payment for any billing option, and within 14 days of a yearly renewal, as set out in our refund policy. A full refund ends access to InboxVue Pro. Nothing in these terms limits any right of withdrawal or refund that the consumer laws of your country give you.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service to process email files you have no right to access, or in violation of any law, including privacy and data protection law;
- attempt to bypass licence checks, share sign-in sessions with others, or resell access to paid features;
- interfere with the Service's servers or networks, or probe them for vulnerabilities without our written permission;
- copy, modify or reverse engineer the Service except as permitted by law or by the licences of the open-source components it includes.
You remain solely responsible for the files you open and the exports you create, including how you use them in legal proceedings or elsewhere.
7. Your content
Your email files and exports belong to you. Because they're processed on your device, we don't receive, store or claim any rights to them.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design and text, belongs to InboxVue or its licensors. Open-source components are used under their respective licences. Microsoft, Outlook, Gmail, Google Takeout, Apple Mail, macOS and Thunderbird are trademarks of their owners; InboxVue isn't affiliated with or endorsed by them.
9. No legal or professional advice
Content on inboxvue.com, including guides about evidence, discovery and court submissions, is general information and not legal advice. Check the rules that apply to your situation, or ask a qualified professional.
10. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available and accurate, but we don't guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will open every file. Email files vary widely, and some may be damaged, encrypted or in formats we don't support. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we'll give at least 90 days' notice During the notice period, subscriptions won't renew, and we'll refund monthly and yearly subscribers for the unused part of their current period. Lifetime purchases made in the 12 months before we announce the discontinuation will be refunded in full; older lifetime purchases keep access until the Service closes.
11. Warranty disclaimer
To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Always keep your original email files: InboxVue never modifies them, and exports aren't a substitute for originals.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, InboxVue isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or business. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50 if you've paid nothing. These limits don't apply to liability that can't be limited by law, such as for fraud or gross negligence, or to your statutory rights as a consumer.
13. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from the account page. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms. If we end your InboxVue Pro access for reasons other than your breach, we'll refund the unused part of your current subscription period, or, for Lifetime, the amount set out in section 10.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco. The courts of Casablanca have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence and your right to bring proceedings there. Before starting proceedings, please email us so we can try to resolve the issue.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and for material changes we'll email customers at least 30 days in advance. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
16. Contact
