InboxVue is free for what most people need: opening an EML, MSG, MBOX or winmail.dat file, reading it, searching it and saving the odd message. InboxVue Pro exists for people who need to get a lot of email out at once: a whole mailbox as PDFs, a ZIP of every message, every attachment in one go, or a court-ready production.
Everything runs in your browser, on your own computer. Your files are never uploaded, on Free or on Pro. How it works explains why.
The plans
Free: $0. Open EML, EMLX, MSG, MBOX and winmail.dat files of any size your browser can handle, several at a time. Read them in the three-pane viewer with folders and labels, search every message as you type, preview and download attachments, and export any single message as PDF, EML, TXT or HTML. Single PDFs carry a small footer line, "Converted with InboxVue · inboxvue.com", that never covers content. You can preview the first 20 rows of the CSV index.
InboxVue Pro. Everything in Free without the footer line, plus every paid feature:
- Bulk export: one combined PDF, a ZIP of PDFs, a ZIP of EML files, and all attachments in one ZIP.
- Attachments embedded in PDFs or extracted to a folder.
- The full CSV index of every message.
- Export filters by date, sender, recipient, domain, attachment and label.
- Bates numbering on every page, and a table-of-contents cover page with Bates ranges.
- A SHA-256 manifest of source and output files.
- Custom header and footer text, and saved export presets.
See email to PDF for court for what a production includes.
Choose how to pay for Pro
| Billing | Price | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly | $6.99 a month | Renews every month until you cancel. Good for a single project. |
| Yearly | $29.99 a year | About $2.50 a month. Save 64% compared with 12 monthly payments ($83.88). Renews every year until you cancel. |
| Lifetime | $99 once | Pay once, no subscription and no renewals. Includes future features such as PST and OST support. |
All three options unlock the same features. Monthly suits a one-off job like converting a Google Takeout mailbox before you close an account: cancel when you're done and Pro stays on until the month you paid for ends. Yearly is the best value if you handle email archives regularly. Lifetime is for people who would rather not have another subscription.

How buying works
Choose monthly, yearly or lifetime, enter your email address, and pay in the Polar checkout. Polar is our merchant of record, so the receipt, any VAT invoice and renewal receipts come from Polar. Pro is active as soon as the payment is confirmed. On another device, sign in with a one-time link sent to the same email address. There are no passwords to remember.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each month or year. You can cancel at any time in the billing portal linked on your account page; you keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for. If you're on monthly, you can switch to yearly from your account page (not from the billing portal). Polar charges the prorated difference when you switch, and your account page then shows your next renewal date. If you've cancelled, resume your subscription first. You can also buy lifetime while subscribed: your subscription then stops renewing.
Refunds
If InboxVue doesn't work for your files, ask for a refund within 14 days of your first payment and you'll get your money back, whichever billing option you chose, for any reason. Yearly renewals can also be refunded within 14 days of the renewal charge. The refund policy has the details. If a file won't open, contact us first: we may be able to fix it.
Try before you pay
The fastest way to decide is to drop your file below or on the home page. Viewing is free, and you'll see the message count, folders and attachments before you choose to upgrade. For a mailbox, the MBOX to PDF page shows the bulk export options. Purchases are covered by our terms.
