InboxVue is an independent software product, built and operated from Morocco, that makes email files easy to open, search and convert, on any computer, without installing anything and without uploading your mail anywhere.
Why we built it
Email outlives the apps that created it. People end up with a Google Takeout mailbox after leaving a job, an Outlook MSG attachment on a Mac, a winmail.dat that should have been a PDF, or a Thunderbird archive from an old laptop. The usual answers are to install a desktop program for one operating system, or to upload private mail to an online converter. We thought there should be a better option: open the file in a browser tab and have everything happen on your own computer.
What InboxVue does
- Opens EML, EMLX, MSG, MBOX and winmail.dat files, from single messages to multi-gigabyte mailboxes, with the MBOX viewer, MSG viewer, EML viewer and winmail.dat opener. We also explain the formats themselves, for example what winmail.dat is, and compare InboxVue honestly with other tools, such as CoolUtils Mail Viewer.
- Searches every message, sender and attachment as you type.
- Exports messages as PDF, EML, TXT, HTML and CSV, individually for free or in bulk with InboxVue Pro.
- Produces court-ready PDFs with Bates numbers, cover indexes and SHA-256 manifests for legal and HR work.
What we believe
- Your email is yours. Files are processed in your browser and never uploaded. How it works explains the design, and you can verify it in your browser's developer tools.
- Fair, simple pricing. Viewing is free. If you need bulk exports, InboxVue Pro costs $6.99 a month or $29.99 a year, or you can pay $99 once instead of subscribing. See pricing.
- Honest information. Our guides explain how to open email files with free tools too, including ones we don't make, and we don't publish invented reviews or statistics.
Independence
InboxVue isn't affiliated with Microsoft, Google, Apple or Mozilla. Product names are used only to describe file compatibility.
